I enter this on behalf of my mother Haidri Hall, who I have just told that her lifelong friend from university onwards died several months ago.
She would like to send her best wishes and is thinking of Pat today.

You have always been there Pat,as long as I can remember. There for us all - when we were kids, doing exciting things like taking us to Battersea funfair, going to Peter Pan, there for bonfire night. Then when we were a bit older , with trips to London and always there with us all on our big family occasions, meals, discussions, arguments and festive holidays. Then when older again, you welcomed our partners too and then our babies. You developed our love of music, opera, theatre and dance and we shared so many great meals. You followed our careers, our interests and loves. Always there, part of our family, a huge part of our lives. Thank you Pat - you'll always be a huge part of our memories.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
